Cataclismo

Cataclismo is the new game by Digital Sun with a solid and enjoyable experience at launch already, although there are a couple of minor things holding it back from Steam Deck greatness.

Much like past Hooded Horse-published indie releases, Cataclismo feels like a game made by and for lovers of the genre it belongs to. There’s tons of love and passion put into this one, and the expertise and polish can be felt throughout everything that’s there. My biggest concerns are related to whether there’s enough narrative meat on those story bones and the slim possibility of its more creative side flying under the radar and never reaching its true player-fueled potential.

Cataclismo is a fun and satisfying single-player strategy game with a fantastic build mode, beautiful art style, and multiple game modes to play for dozens of hours.

A game that puts your creativity through the ultimate test - against a rampaging horde of otherworldly horrors. Build, and watch it all fall down - brick by brick.

Exceptional building mechanics support a game that sometimes feels like a chore.
