Fantasia: Music Evolved Reviews

Professional reviews from gaming critics

“The Disney magic shines brightly in Fantasia: Music Evolved, and Harmonix has delivered another great reason to own a Kinect.”

Aug 23, 2019 Read Review

Fantasia: Music Evolved provides a surprising amount of control and personalization options over each song, which is paired with fun gameplay to bring a fresh new style to the music game genre. Though the navigation motion controls could be improved, Kinect functions well for the moment-to-moment creative play, and Fantasia’s diverse music selection, beautiful realms, and blended co-op mode, combine to create a great new experience.

The diversity of music, and the implementation of the movement controls in Fantasia: Music Evolved really are fantastic, and prove that Harmonix still has what it takes to re-define the genre they love so much.

Every now and then I stare at the bonus dust catcher that came with my pristine new Xbox One and wonder why Microsoft even bothered naming it. I mean Kinect is a weird name for something that helps to keep your house clean. Ooooooh, maybe it’s connecting dust motes together or something? Think about it. It totally makes sense. Obviously that big old brick has a secondary purpose for playing games, allegedly that is, as there has been a severe dearth of Kinect-only titles since MS first deci...
