Farewell North

Farewell North is a wonderfully introspective experience that truly feels like it nails the concept it sets out to achieve. Not once did I feel like being a dog was a gimmick or made for the sake of standing out - this truly feels like one of the first games to capture that unspoken and ironclad bond between a dog and its owner. As well as that, Farewell North is an incredibly beautiful game about saying goodbye and that's a universal problem that feels articulated smartly here. Up there with the very best of the genre, without any shadow of a doubt.

Farewell North is a game you should add to your collection if you're a fan of games with gorgeous open world exploration, intriguing puzzles, and a compelling narrative. This game will take you on an emotional journey that you're unlikely to forget in a while.

I've never been as emotionally affected by a video game as I was by Farewell North. It's a gorgeous bit of storytelling, flanked by music and art that is just as beautiful. You can see its emotional gut-punch coming, but good luck avoiding it.

Farewell North is an emotional game about the difficult goodbye to something that's been with you for your entire life and how you keep it with you even after it's gone. If you have lost a family member, pet, or are homesick, Farewell North is sure to resonate with you.

The story would make this game a higher priority for me, but the lackluster, repetitive puzzles and terrible platforming really detract from the overall quality of the experience.

Farewell North is a sweet-natured look at companionship and loss through the eyes of a very good boy.
