Fighting Force is a beat ’em up game originally released in 1997 whose development was a lot more interesting than the game itself. Core Design (the same developers behind the original Tomb Raider games) originally wanted to pitch the game as a Sega Saturn exclusive, based on the Streets of Rage franchise. Fighting Force Collection is a faithful port of a long-forgotten PS1 series. Those who grew up with these games will find some nostalgic fun, but anyone else will struggle to find many positives to pull from this collection.
The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different outcome. Fighting Force Collection didn't reinvent the wheel here, and I really wish it had. It's the same game. Take that for what it's worth.
