Aesthetically, there isn’t really all that much that sets Forced aside from other games. I’m not saying the art style and graphics aren’t particularly good, they are! It’s only that everything just seems so familiar having played so many games of similar styles; Torchlight for example, as well as pretty much any game set in some sort of fantasy realm (though, at least they’ve not gone down the all-too-common cel-shading route). That said, there’s not much to criticise Forced on; if you enjoy a good challenge, need a decent game to play with friends or you’re looking for a game with an interest...
BetaDwarf has just released their first title, FORCED, on Steam and sets to challenge players as they play through the game's 25 Arenas.
FORCED isn’t the biggest game on the PC, but it’s not trying to be. Rather, it tries to be a fun co-op experience — a goal that it accomplishes quite well. Grab the four-pack off Steam, grab three friends, and play FORCED for the weekend. It’s a one-trick pony, but it’s a good trick indeed.
BetaDwarfs first game is a serious look at the challenges weathered by fantasy gladiators. Making a blurb joke about them would be totally forced.
Unfortunately right now there’s problems a plenty with servers, no matchmaking and lack of friend invites, It’s not exactly easy to get a match. These things really should be standard from day one. Of course this is all getting patched in the days to come, but it’s hard to recommend when they’ve not included it yet.
