Futuridium EP Deluxe is a sight to behold. It's a triumph of both art and style, with fast-paced gameplay and diverse level designs. The whole thing comes together thanks to the mesmerizing visuals and drum 'n bass soundtrack. It may have a simple premise, but this PlayStation 4 title is one of the most exciting space shooters of the year.
Futuridium EP Deluxe is a really interesting space shooter puzzle hybrid that works flawlessly. You will need to learn to manage depth perception, which can be incredibly screwy if you don't take your time and learn. Once you know what to do, 50 increasingly hard stages will await you. They will push you to the limit in a race to save your spaceship. Making mistakes isn't an option and acting fast is your main task. Futuridium is fun through and through, and it deserves your download sooner rather than later.

If the aim of a good arcade game is to be simple, fun and addictive, then Futuridium EP Deluxe surely delivers. Though frustrating in many ways, there is a solid game at its core which – if entered into with the right mindset – can have you saying “just one more go and then I’ll stop” for hours on end. Stimulating (perhaps even overwhelming) both aurally and visually; the simple design of the game ensures that, even when not in the right mindset, it’s a great game to just sit in front of and kill twenty minutes – maybe while you wait for another game to update.
