Half Past Fate: Romantic Distancing is a cute lockdown love story, with nice enough characters and the world building of Half Past Fate to rely on, but will disappoint those looking for a deeper romance.

At the time of this review’s writing, we’re still facing the nightmarish nuisance that is the COVID-19 pandemic. We haven’t seen close friends or relatives as frequently as we used to, we don’t go out nowhere nearly as much, and most importantly, meeting new people and starting new relationships has been a freaking near-impossible nightmare. On the bright side, what Romantic Distancing tries to do it does well. Exploring the colorful environment and making decisions was enjoyable, although I wish there had been more of it. Serenity Forge also did a great job in creating characters that are fun to read about. Robin and Stephen’s interactions kept me engaged and I was curious to see how their quarantine romance would develop the entire time.
