If you’re a Hatsune Miku fan that’s been deprived of the Project DIVA series over the years due to not having a console, you might want to consider Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Mega Mix+ a must-have if your PC is up to the job. While the gameplay is starting to feel a little old now, the fact that there are over 170 songs to enjoy here is incredible. The VIP edition with its 250 songs is the way to go, though. This is the ultimate Hatsune Miku experience. And there’s even the possibility of more songs being added in the future.
Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Mega Mix+ is all killer and no filler, offering up the finest Vocaloid action to date. Rhythm game fans, arcade junkies, and music lovers, rejoice; this is your game.
In the end, Mega 39 does one, very special thing: it takes the incredible Hatsune Miku Project Diva Future Tone, and makes it portable. You can bellyache all you like about a relatively thin tracklist, but “relatively thin” to the ridiculous bloat of Future Tone isn’t really a fault. Not when what is in the pack is still more than any other rhythm game on the Switch, and with the optional DLC to come. Most importantly of all, however, is that Mega39 is a celebration of the world’s greatest digital idol, and a digital celebrity I truly care a great deal about. As such, it fills a major…
Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Mega Mix offers traditional rhythm gameplay alongside a highly enjoyable motion based Mix Mode in a package featuring some of the best Vocaloid songs available finally making their debut on the Switch.
Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Mega Mix takes the rhythm game series to a new dimension, giving both new fans and Project DIVA veterans ways to play at home or on the go.
As a digital idol, it only makes sense that Hatsune Miku has had her fair share of rhythm video games over the years -- just over 10 years, to be exact.
Project Diva Megamix+ is a massive music game packed with variety and challenge that will keep you jamming for a very long time.
While slim in content compared to its other console counterpart, Hatsune Miku: Project Diva Megamix is a wonderful time for rhythm game enthusiasts. With some exclusive songs and great gameplay mechanics, you should sing and smile along with the lovely world of Hatsune Miku and her friends.
Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Mega Mix is a wholly competent rhythm game with a bunch of content and a your-mileage-may-vary song list. If you like tapping to the beat while colorful Vocaloid characters dance around, this game has a lot of that. However, if you’re looking for a story mode, a campaign, or anything beyond an excuse to tap to the beat, this isn’t the game for you. It does one thing and one thing quite well, and for me, it’ll do.
Hatsune Miku is a well-established virtual pop idol and her Project DIVA series provides a lot of rhythm fun so let's blast this Mega Mix.

I can’t see myself continuing to play this game, though, especially since I already have a copy of Future Tone with all of my scores and everything unlocked in it. The fact that Mega Mix is portable means little to me, as my Switch nearly never leaves its dock anyways.
While the songs in Hatsune Miku Project Diva Mega Mix+ are bright and fun, the interface for the rhythm game is not as enjoyable. Players will find the prompts they must hit swooping in from all directions on the screen, instead of appearing in a specific area with clear visibility and direction. Because of this, prompts can easily get mixed up, or be hard to see as the video behind them changes colors. Additionally, the constant movement around the screen in combination with the movement of the performer models or video clips can be dizzying, creating vertigo or confusion when trying to keep track of each prompt. Similar to Rhythm Fighter, The overwhelming movements can also take away from the enjoyment of watching the characters perform, as players will be too busy chasing prompts to properly view the background.
Millions of fans around the world have been entertained by Hatsune Miku and the Vocaloids, and the game’s PC port, with the deluxe edition expansion, truly feels like the definitive way to experience the popular rhythm game franchise. The port’s high definition presentation and smooth gameplay have been seamlessly translated to the PC while boasting an enormous library of songs and customization options for the Vocaloids and the music videos themselves. For those looking for the ultimate ...
