Pac-Man Museum+ Reviews
Professional reviews from gaming critics
I love Pac-Man and retro game compilations and when you put the 2 together, you get Pac-Man Museum+ so I'm one happy gamer.
While there are some notable omissions and questionable additions in this collection, PAC-MAN MUSEUM+ is just the thing for those looking for a trip down memory lane.
Pac-Man Museum + is a lot to chew on, as there are many upsides to this package. The selection is good, there’s plenty of replayability, the leaderboards are nice, and a few stand-out titles can be found within. Plus, you really can’t beat the entry price being so low. But sadly, it’s a package that is bogged down with a handful of control issues and a lack of options. In a collection celebrating a character via a customizable arcade, it’s unfortunate there isn’t as much care put into the customization of the player experience. Will I still be playing it often? Absolutely. A handful…
Still, this collection has an interesting and well-rounded selection of games centred on a video game icon many of us grew up with. If you have fond memories of the little yellow gobbler, this is a really good collection of games. It does not cover everything, such as the DX+ version of the Championship edition, but what is here is enjoyable. Most of the games have aged well and that is a pretty good testament to how great these titles were in the first place.
Whether you're a ghost-munching veteran or a total newcomer, there's no better way to experience the multiple old-school adventures of Bandai Namco's infamous yellow orb than Pac-Man Museum. Bringing together nine titles that span three different genres, it's difficult not to feel that you're getting plenty of nostalgic pleasure, although there's no denying that the asking price is difficult to swallow.
Pac-Man Museum+ is truly the end-all title that any fan of Pac-Man will ever need!
