Pupperazzi

Pupperazzi does a great job at being an adorable and relaxing game that's easy to put down and pick up at your leisure! 12/10 would pet the pups again.

I miss scratching dogs on their butts. My German Shepherd Rudy used to pry my legs apart with his nose so he could walk halfway between them and wait patiently for me to put down whatever I was holding and scratch his big fluffy posterior. After the Rude Dude crossed the rainbow bridge, I was sad to find that buttscratching wasn’t a universal thing all dogs enjoyed. I tried it on my friends’ dogs, and they did not care for it. Neither did my friends.

The idyllic, low-stakes world of Pupperazzi is one that budding photographers can easily be lost in. The laundry list of objectives can weigh on even the most devout pupper lover, but it is still worth a go for those looking for a breather.

Pupperazzi is the gaming equivalent of cotton candy. It’s sweet and makes the day feel more festive, but it’s not going to tide you over if you’re looking for something with real substance. Smartly, the game doesn’t take itself too seriously, leaning into the playfully absurd concept of becoming a leading member of the puppy paparazzi with chuckle-inducing tasks, lively levels, and plenty of chances to pet virtual pooches.

Pupperazzi is a nice, light diversion for those willing to put up with a few bugs for the love of dogs.

Cute, but featuring far too high of a price tag to justify the amount of content it includes.

I'll throw Kitfox Games and Sundae Month a bone in this sense. Gaming needs more wholesome experiences like this and I'm glad Pupperazzi exists. If the team revisits this concept in the future, I'm excited for what it's capable of delivering. For now, I'll just look at this game as a ruff draft of something potentially greater.

Pupperazzi is a cute game filled with all the same affection that we have for our four-legged friends, but sadly it doesn't deliver the warm fuzzy feelings you might be expecting.

As Brad Pitt once said in his iconic role in Snatch: “do you love dags?” Well, I do love dags and dogs, with around 90% of my phone’s photo library being comprised of pictures of my Shiba Inu. So when I heard of Pupperazzi, a game all about taking pictures of adorable polygonal dogs, I felt like giving it a shot. Sure, the visuals looked odd at best, but I thought to myself: “maybe that’s just an artistic decision”. Boy, was I wrong. Somehow, someone make the act of taking picture...
