I wish there were other unlockables besides concept art (another problem shared with the console games), but at the end of the day, Tomb Raider: Underworld on the DS is a great game that any DS owner would be silly not to at least try.
If you're looking for a game heavy on exploration instead of gun-play and don't mind looking at a finely toned arse for 12 or more hours, Underworld comes highly recommended.
Crystal Dynamics has made Tomb Raider Underworld more realistic with fluid movements due to motion capturing. Set a few years after the last game, it also features persistent destruction and lush locales across the globe. Lara gets muddy in the game, but with the weather system, rain will wash it away.
Instead of trying to shoehorn all the same exact things from the console title into the heavier restrictions of the handheld hardware, the team at Santa Cruz Studios pulled off a decent experience specifically for the portable crowd. The game isnt without its flaws and there are definite places where the game could use a good tweak or two, but in all this DS game is a solid and enjoyable Tomb Raider design.
The last information that gamers need to know is that the Xbox 360 version is the superior one with two exclusive episodic chapters coming before the start of the spring via Xbox Live. “Beneath the Ashes” will arrive by the end of December and “Lara’s Shadow” will show up on the service by mid-January – both only accessible on the Xbox 360.
