Undisputed bursts onto the scene with a stiff right hook, and it’s definitely the best boxing game available today. Exciting gameplay and great visuals pair well with a solid career mode, but some customization and story upgrades would help. Adding a showcase to highlight moments in boxing history could also tip the scales and make this game truly great.

Undisputed has some issues, but for boxing fans it does enough to make itself essential. There's a huge roster of fighters here, plenty of modes, and the fighing system is easy to pick up but hard to master. It's just a shame that the action lacks a little speed and excitement, and that it's visually not all that impressive on PS5.

Undisputed delivers impressive graphical detail and an extensive fighter roster that will satisfy boxing fans. The moment to moment boxing mechanics feel fun while leaning into the sim territory with the game's sixty different punches. While the modes within Undisputed don't warrant the asking price of $59.99, the character options, fighting mechanics, and deep roster are enough to satisfy fans of...

Sports games are outrageously difficult to create, so you’ve got to give credit to Sheffield-based studio Steel City Interactive for having the guts to step into the ring. EA Sports defined generations with its Fight Night franchise, but lagging sales mean it’s moved on to the more lucrative UFC license. Undisputed swings for the fences by attempting to fill the gaping void left behind, and while ...

I came away from Undisputed frustrated. In here is an incredible boxing game buried under entirely too many bugs, balance issues, and incomplete features for launch. Maybe round 2?

Undisputed presents a somewhat realistic depiction of boxing that perhaps forgets that games are also meant to be fun. Steam Deck performance is also lacking.

Undisputed isn’t just a boxing game – it’s a full boxing experience that fans haven’t had in years. With a deep roster, fluid gameplay, and solid modes, it hits all the right notes for fans of the sport. Minor visual issues and a few missing features and gameplay hiccups, like the ability to change weight classes or a replay suite, are easily overlooked when compared to the sheer joy of stepping i...

After 13 extremely long years, we're so glad to finally be playing a major new boxing game on Xbox. Undisputed isn't necessarily the perfect follow-up to Fight Night Champion, but it's a more realistic take on the sport that delivers a good amount of entertainment inside the squared circle, and we're impressed by what the Steel City Interactive team have created with their first video game ever. L...

Pound for pound, Undisputed doesn’t yet have the chops to compete against the likes of Fight Night Round 3, but it’s pretty much the only game in town. This effort is far above other attempts at a realistic boxing game, and it mostly delivers on intense combat and solid animations. As it was with the game’s roadmap in Steam Early Access, Steel City Interactive is well-prepared and already committe...

According to Sheffield-based developers Steel City Interactive, Undisputed is the first major boxing video game released in over a decade. At first thought, this felt like a dubious claim, but a quick Google search later and it turns out they are right. My, how time flies since the days of Ready to Rumble and Knock Out Kings. Their stated aim was to create the most visceral and interactive boxing ...
