Professional reviews from gaming critics

WarioWare: Move It has proved itself a worthy spiritual successor to Smooth Moves. Thanks to motion controls, Wario's new collection of chaotic microgames will have you up and out of your seat and laughing the entire time. With over 200 microgames and a number of different modes to choose from, the latest Move It is the Wario party game that the Nintendo Switch deserves.

Short wacky fun for all.

Still, Move It! is a creative addition to the WarioWare license and delivers on its main promise: fun, light-hearted gaming sessions with friends.

WarioWare: Move It! is a great entry in the series, making excellent use of the JoyCons’ high-definition motion controls in classic absurd Wario fashion.

WarioWare: Move It! stands out not just as a return to the beloved mechanics of the series but as its crowning achievement since Smooth Moves. It’s a game that knows its audience, delivering a perfect blend of nostalgia and innovation that fits right into the Switch's lineup.

“WarioWare: Move It! is a joyously fun return to the series motion-control era, though it doesn't evolve the formula too much.”

WarioWare: Move It! calls back to the early excitement of the Wii and motion controlled gaming. Master a multitude of motion-based microgames in the newest entry in the WarioWare series. Shake, stretch, dance, wiggle, & even curtsey through over 200 lightning-fast microgames.

Nintendo serves up another bumper blink-and-you-lose blitz in WarioWare: Move It!, but the package is let down by the need to fumble with often-fussy motion controls.

WarioWare: Move It! utilizes the Joy-Con to its full potential, delivering the quick-paced, quirky fun you'd expect from such a brilliant franchise. While Story mode is a blast, the game only offers a few hours of content outside its clever but somewhat disappointing multiplayer. Move It! won't replace a certain red-hatted plumber's party and family game staples any time soon, but Intelligent Syst...

As comical and outlandish it remains, WarioWare: Move It! and its admirable attempt to add legitimacy to the Switch's motion controls result in an experience that's both inconsistent and at times simply all too unclear to work out. When it works, the ideas posed and the involvement needed do manage to draw a smile at the absurdity one is voluntarily offering, let alone being presented on-screen. I...
