Even though it initially caused me real panic, Winter Burrow is still a cozy game at its core. You can take your time — winter sprawls infinitely and lazily across the land. While never-ending winter is more often than not an apocalyptic symbol, here it is a blanket. Snuggle in, steep some tea, and stay a while.

Winter Burrow is a pleasant experience with a sprinkling of challenge to manage, with good elements of survival, resource management, and cozy. The sum of its parts is adequate but I wish there was more for me to chew on with its mechanics, like more decoration options and varied quests.

I first came across Winter Burrow whilst watching the Xbox Showcase in June, and when the code came in to review it I jumped at the chance. It looked super cute, cosy and just what I needed to snuggle up with on the sofa and play this Autumn. Did it live up to my expectations? Let’s find out in the XboxEra review of Winter Burrow.
