Yoshi's Woolly World Reviews
Professional reviews from gaming critics
Oh my god! Yoshi’s Woolly World is one of the most enjoyable and at times frustrating games that I have played in 2015 that is oozing with Yoshi and “woolly”
Despite the odd frustration, Yoshi’s Woolly World is an incredibly fun romp. It has been a long time since the world got to see a console Yoshi game, and the fact it hearkens back to its SNES roots better than the recent handheld attempt is a joy to behold. This is one of the best platformers I have played in a long time.
While Kirby's Epic Yarn charmed, it ultimately fell flat. Yoshi not only charms but soars thanks to fantastic visuals and a flexible difficulty that makes it a must for genre fans - casuals and pros.
Yoshi’s Woolly World is game that doesn’t pretend to be anything that it isn’t. It capitalizes on cute and charming and creates a worthwhile game with plenty to look forward to. Its fatal flaw is only that its appeal runs short for gamers who look for the complexity and skill challenge Nintendo’s other platformers offer.
