Professional reviews from gaming critics
Zool Redimensioned is a short, but fun and vibrant platformer that has a ton of fun themed levels and enemies. The controls are great and the accessibility options make this title work for any player, no matter your skill level.
The success of Sonic the Hedgehog in the early 90’s made every single developer and publisher in this known universe try to create a mascot platformer to compete with the blue blur and that chubby Italian plumber. While Zool himself can be a bit unwieldy to control, playing Zool Redimensioned it’s easy to see why he still lives in the minds of some gamers. He’s a charismatic little fellow, instantly recognisable and rather cool. Zool Redimensioned is a brand-new reimagining of the classic action platforming adventure has been rebuilt from the ground up for modern audiences.
Though a noble effort, the transition to HD has probably done more harm than good. Challenging gameplay has been replaced with a virtual walk in the park, devoid of damn near any difficulty. If you're looking to relive gaming's past, you may be better off with the original.
