Rambo: The Video Game
It isn’t very often that any criticism can be levelled at Pixar, as the hit-making animators seem to go from strength to strength. Yet this year they seemed to have a rare failure on their hands, as Cars 2 was hardly welcomed with open arms by most critics, though that...
It has been lean times recently at X360A towers (if only we did have a tower, that would be kick-ass) thanks to a steady stream of average and below par games. For some reason they all seem to find their way into my grubby mitts and it has to be...
Alice: Madness Returns
The story behind Alice in Wonderland is quite widely known – or is it? This macabre twist on the classic tale sees an altogether more sinister version of events unfold. Anyone familiar with the original title will probably know what to expect, though this version actually pulls even fewer punches....
De Blob 2
While I do so enjoy playing through games of dubious quality for shits and giggles (or that is what Webb wants me to think) having a sequel to a Wii-only game is pretty much the last thing I want to turn up on my doorstep – or so I thought....
Dragon Ball is one of those anime shows that seems to have been around for ages and has a very specific audience. Considering the fact that just one fight can take up about ten episodes of the show – if you’re lucky – then you know that you need a...
Back when Call of Duty first launched, it would probably have come as something of a surprise to its developers and gamers alike to see what the future would have brought. With the game quickly turned into a yearly franchise, with two different developers on hand, it was only a...
Fallout: New Vegas
For anyone that missed out on Fallout 3 - which would be a tragedy of epic proportions - then here’s a chance for redemption, if such a thing can be found in the original city of sin. It's time to venture into the wastelands once again, only this time you'll...
Singularity
The concept of time travel has made for a number of great films and books, but far fewer truly memorable games. There are titles that have dabbled with the idea to good effect, such as Prince of Persia, but for the full blown effect you would have to look at...
Aliens vs. Predator
The first thing any prospective buyer of Rebellion's latest AvP title should do is forget anything they saw during the quite terrible Alien vs Predator films, as they are not indicative of the quality and storytelling that this franchise is capable of. Instead you should pay more attention to the...
BioShock 2
It is fair to say that BioShock was a bit good. It would probably be fair to say that it was insanely good... but come on, let's be honest, I did not want to come across as a crazy fanboy. Guess it is too late for that now, so let...
Bayonetta
With all the talk last year about the so called "death" of the Japanese gaming industry (mainly from people in the Japanese gaming industry), it is nice to see a developer take a stand and show people how wrong they were. Considering the increasingly Western influence that seems to be...
Dragon Age: Origins
Everyone loves a good RPG, well, in actual fact, a lot of people would rather go the other way. So the challenge has always been to make a role playing game that appeals to the hardcore fans while still drawing in new players who might usually be put off by...
