If you are interested in this incredibly niche genre, you already know about Jurassic World Evolution 3. You’re either bemoaning the continued use of Jurassic Park/World dinosaur designs or praising some of the more accurate designs like the beautiful new Deinonychus. You’ve likely got opinions on the park rides, its connections to the Jurassic Park lore, and have planned out your following 15 parks in the lead up to playing the game. That said, how is the game? It’s pretty great.

You’re telling me that Tribute Games made a 4-player beat ’em up, based on the greatest comic crossover of all time, and you can play as Beta Ray Bill?!

The Outer Worlds 2
3.5/5

After the much beloved Fallout New Vegas, people have been clamoring for another big open-world RPG from Obsidian. So when the original The Outer Worlds was announced, many saw it as the next big thing. Finally, someone is going to do a massive Bethesda-style RPG and beat them at their own game. It came out, and it was fine. The setting and bones are great for a potential sequel to really work with. Well, The Outer Worlds 2 is here. Is it the game everyone was hoping for?

Donkey Kong: Bananza
2.5/5

Donkey Kong Bananza’s first DLC is a bit of a whiff, despite its strong potential. Emerald Rush is a pleasant enough mode to play a few times, but the emptiness of DK Island is fairly disappointing given the price tag.

Tamagotchi Plaza
2/5

Do you remember the constant scream of your Tamagotchi? The way it would demand constant attention, and would die if you had the audacity to leave it unattended for more than 5 minutes? Somehow, that horrible loop is more fun than Tamagotchi Plaza—a middling collection of minigames loosely based around the Tamagotchi franchise, which dares to ask: What if you could perform oral surgery on a Tamagotchi?

Patapon 1+2 Replay is, well, a collection of Patapon 1 & 2 in one convenient package. The seminal RTS rhythm games from the PSP were brought back for a variety of systems. This is technically the second time these games have been remastered. Patapon 1 & 2 were released on PS4 a few years ago, but not without issue. Both releases suffered from input delay, making the two almost unplayable at times.

DOOM’S BACK BABY! After killing the devil himself in DOOM: Eternal, we take a peek back into the past of the Doom Guy. Seeing the heavy metal medieval-inspired war against hell he took part in, and it RIPS.

South of Midnight is a Southern Gothic platforming game about the legends and myths of the Deep South, and it’s okay!

In a lot of ways Japan has always felt like Ubisoft’s break glass in case of emergency for Assassin’s Creed. The setting was teased in the very first game in the franchise and since then has more or less been the most sought after setting. Ubisoft however, has felt more interested in the western half of the world, giving unprecedented locals like Renaissance Italy & the Caribbean timee to shine. While this has worked for the most part, after years of fan clamoring, and likely some competi...

Despite it all, Metaphor: ReFantazio is a game about hope. The hope of a brighter day. It makes no qualms about the hardship that comes with that hope. The battles that must be fought, the pain that must be endured, but also the friends you make along the way, the power of kindness. The power of belief.
