Creatures of Ava is an interesting action RPG with unique gameplay mechanics in which, instead of killing, you're actually saving corrupted creatures and enemies.
Cygni: All Guns Blazing pays perfect tribute to its title with such chaotic battles that will awaken a pure reflex monster in you with a single gameplay rule: don't think, just shoot.
Minds Beneath Us is an interesting 2D adventure with an amazing story and a totally different approach to storytelling. Sadly, this approach ruined the experience big time and made this masterpiece of a story a very tedious experience.
Dungeons of Hinterberg is an action RPG with a unique art style and puzzles that will entertain you beyond words. Once you start to play it, you won't be able to drop it all the way to the end of the game.
Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess is an interesting mix of action RPG and strategy genres that works like a charm, although this mix is not for everyone.
Riven
If you're looking for something unusual, look no further because Riven will provide just that: an unusual story, gameplay, and complex puzzles that are unlike anything you've experienced before.
Still Wakes the Deep tells a genuine masterpiece of a story, but only if you're tolerant of a hardcore Scottish accent, that is. Since I'm always into unusual stuff when it comes to video games, this one delivers just that.
Tiny Terry's Turbo Trip is just that: a tiny trip that will make you laugh on several occasions throughout the game. It isn't an attractive game with sophisticated gameplay, but it has a charm that can compensate for it all.
Fabledom
Fabledom is a casual and relaxing city builder that looks and feels quite different from the other games in the genre. With a fairy tale-like presentation and minimum involvement kind of gameplay it represents a pretty unique experience.
Paper Trail will enchant you with a charming world drawn on pieces of paper where reality is folded and twisted all the time. Sit down, solve puzzles, and relax; that's all you'll need to do.
Taking a classic off the shelf and bringing a new life to it is never an easy endeavour. However, System Shock is a live testament that it is very much possible.
When an indie game is recognised for its greatness and its sequel gets treated like a true triple-A game, the outcome might be disastrous or a masterpiece. Thankfully, Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 is the latter.
