No, she wasn’t created with the best intentions. No, today’s character design by committee would never give her the green light these days. But there’s still plenty of room for Lara — cheeky, uncompromising, even distasteful — to play for sport. For now, I’ll stick with cleaning Croft Manor in PowerWash Simulator.
Once it clicked, I could hardly put The Stone of Madness down. The game’s detailed Goya-inspired art direction is just gorgeous. When everything works, all the hard work you’ve put in to make it to the next plot point pays off. It’s so much easier to list out negatives instead of quantifying success, but The Stone of Madness is a compelling, largely successful stealth challenge.

Poptop Software’s original title introduced us into the world of Tropico, where you play as a dictator who makes his own rules in a Caribbean paradise-turned-city-builder. The dynasty of El Presidente lives on in Tropico 6, and it doesn’t look like it’s going anywhere soon.
