It's been a long time coming, but Persona 5 Royal is finally expanding its reach in the way it has always deserved. More gamers being able to get their hands on one of the best JRPGs ever made is undoubtedly a good thing, and while Nintendo Switch players often get the short end of the stick when it comes to ports, Royal is definitely just as capable of stealing hearts on the hybrid console as it is anywhere else.

While the game tries mitigate this by having its tutorial walk players through their first run, it often feels like Rogue Lords is trying to do too much and likely would have benefited from some brevity and simplicity. Still, as imperfect as it is, the game has a lot to offer fans of the genre, and it's especially fun to play this time of year.

Despite its issues, The Lost Gods is still lots of fun to play. It's generally a strong addition to Immortals Fenyx Rising, combining substantial changes with the gameplay elements that made the base game enjoyable. There are plenty of puzzles and challenges on Pyrite Island, especially for those who want to complete everything the game has to offer. Overall, Immortals Fenyx Rising isn't doing anything particularly revolutionary. While it does put it own spin on a tried and true formula, its gameplay and structure still feel familiar. Calling it more of the same isn't entirely inaccurate. However, when that "same" is an engaging open world action-adventure that reminds players of some of the best games of the last few years, then it's fair to call Immortals Fenyx Rising more of a good thing.
