The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing franchise has been releasing regularly on PCs since 2013, but has only just started to reach the PlayStation 4. The first in the series came to the console on the 1st March of this year and was met with a mixed reception. Now, just several months later, The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing II has graced Sony's system.

NBA fans have been spoiled in recent years, being treated to arguably the most accurate virtual sporting experience with the NBA 2K series. However, the rise of realistic sims has seen arcade basketball games become a thing of a bygone era. Kitfox Games has created something quite unique with Moon Hunters. At first it appears to be quite a standard action role-playing game with the option to play with up to four players. However, playing the game for just a couple minutes shows you that there are plenty of unique and fresh ideas on display.

The premise behind 7 Days to Die is strong: it's an open-world zombie survival horror game smashed together with the crafting and building elements of Minecraft. That description sounds compelling, but the final product doesn't come anywhere near to being fun.

From the moment that the Kickstarter for Mighty No. 9 was announced, there were enormous expectations placed upon it, and it was always going to be impossible to live up to them. The hype came from Keiji Inafune and a team of Mega Man veterans being at the helm of what appeared to be a spiritual successor to the classic games in the Mega Man series. However, while Mighty No. 9 shares much in common with the critically acclaimed Mega Man games of yesteryear, it suffers from shortcomings that prevent it from ever reaching those lofty heights.
