Twenty-five years after the original Super Famicom release of Seiken Densetsu 3, a remake looks to attract a whole new generation of gamers. Trials of Mana is a great example of how to update a 16-bit RPG for a modern audience while staying true to the original.
Are you ready to go on an adventure and make a secret hideout? Join Sam Wachter on her quest to figure out if Atelier Ryza is a worthy Atelier game, or if the secret hideout needs to be blown up.
Ubisoft and Nintendo got together to make a crossover. Instead of a platformer, RPGamers get Mario and Rabbids married together with XCOM style combat.
Gust has been outputting games at a decent clip in the past couple of years. Whether that rate allows those titles to reach their full potential is certainly open to debate.
The ClaDun series returns with a new and appropriately named entry, making the jump from the handheld to the home console. It brings back many of the systems featured in previous entries, and retains its retro-inspired look and feel. But does the six-year-old formula hold up?
With new gameplay mechanics and full of charm, the latest entry in this Metroidvania series makes its way to consoles. Follow Kaho as she explores the kingdom of Karst to find and eliminate the source of the curse affecting her village.
The Darkest Dungeon may seem scary, but all the witnesses who say so are unreliably insane. The fact that these people were all perfectly sane before entering is surely just coincidence.
The Dynasty Warriors series comes full circle, returning to its strategy RPG roots in Godseekers. You'd think that everyone would have learned not to trust Lu Bu by now.
Action!Jensen didn't ask for a sequel. He also didn't ask to be a basketball star/super agent/whiskey lover. What he did ask for was that fangirls back off and take a number.
You know what's mathematical? A tubular Zelda clone. The Adventure Time crew take on The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, but is it entirely copacetic? Grab your trail mix and read on in our official review.
We may have asked for better boss fights, but its doubtful anyone wanted tablet gimmicks or an English language audio commentary recorded by French Canadians. RPGamers can't win them all, even by the year 2027. Put on your trench coat and find a conspiracy...again.
Applying financial terminology to fantasy worlds could produce other fascinating titles in the future. Is it possible to Cautiously Mortgage, Lazily Foreclose, Furiously Equitize, or Nobly Deficit? These questions are not answered by this game. Eek! Don't make an 'O' with the mouth, characters!
