Welcome to what might just be the most ludicrous idea for a game I’ve played in a substantially long time: Date Everything. The name couldn’t have been more direct about what you do in this title. You date everything. And when they say everything, they mean EVERYTHING. This is a semi-visual novel stroke dating sim where you’re essentially locked to your house after being delivered some mysterious glasses that let you bring inanimate objects to life… and some of them end up actually be...

A police sim based on the idea of a non-PVP Rainbow Six Siege is not something I thought that I would see, to be entirely honest with you. A game where you need to work as a commanding officer to bring down those who threaten chaos and the safety of people you know. That is essentially how Ready Or Not is advertised to you while looking at it online, ready for you to pick up and learn what goes into planning a full on raid of a building, whether it’s a house, a shop, or wherever else you ma...

Rune Factory is a series that manages to put out games rather quickly, with very different feels each and every time. While I am aware that two of the three games I covered on the Nintendo Switch, Rune Factory 3 and Rune Factory 4, are remakes of earlier games, they were still flying out. The last new game, Rune Factory 5, while quite good, did run into some performance issues on the original Switch. I’m sure that is a surprise to no one, especially if you know the scale of that game. This ...

I’m willing to bet that absolutely no one expected a sequel to the 1999 Game Boy Colour game, Survival Kids to be a Nintendo Switch 2 launch title, but here we are. Survival Kids is a semi-time trial puzzle game that pushes you to get your base from one end of a course to the other and escape, all while solving puzzles along the way to be able to progress. It’s like Portal, just without the access to a portal gun… or a really good friend in Companion Cube. Luckily, I was able to refresh...

The Nintendo Switch 2 may not have launched with a massive amount of brand new titles, but it did bring quite a lot of previously released games over to Nintendo’s ecosystem for the first time, such as Cyberpunk, Hitman, and Split Fiction.. Then there’s Puyo Puyo Tetris 2S, which might feel a bit odd in this launch lineup, as is an enhanced version of a game that had already been released for Nintendo’s predecessor console. I’m always up for more Puyo Puyo and Tetris though, so I coul...

Sonic Generations is usually considered to be the best “modern” (as in, post-Dreamcast) Sonic ever released, if you’re not counting Mania, of course. Last year saw the release of an upgraded remaster for the then-current generation of consoles, Sonic X Shadow Generations. With Nintendo finally catching up to hardware specs with the brand new Switch 2, it’s time to see if the system can embrace the improved version of 2011’s Sonic Generations and a twist on old sonic levels with Shad...

Fantasy Life originally released in 2013 for the Nintendo 3DS and since then, the series’ output has been a bit dry. There have been mobile releases in between, but Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time is the first proper sequel after all this time to the this neat hybrid between a JRPG and a slice-of-life simulator. That’s right, in a world filled with every roguelike, deckbuilder and metroidvania you could imagine (often times mixing these three styles at once), Fantasy Life provide...

It has been 33 years of Mario Kart, and while there have been more characters than the initial eight added, there has never been a real overhaul of how the games work. That is, until now. Who knows if it’s the power of the Nintendo Switch 2 bringing Nintendo much closer to on par with the current generation of consoles, or just finally deciding something needed to change from the original formula. Simply put, this is the first real overhaul since Double Dash trialled duos. Now, before you g...

Who would have imagined that immediately after finishing (the now formerly previous version of) The Sinking City, that the remaster would suddenly release the next day? It’s hard to believe, but it couldn’t have been better times. After playing through all of the awkward jankiness of the original, I couldn’t wait to see how the remaster may have updated the combat and visuals. And all thanks to an initial Old God/Cosmic Horror fixation flame sparked by playing Dredge a while back.

It’s time to return to the Savage Planet! It’s been five full years since we have gotten any new Savage Planet shenanigans, with the last being the Hot Garbage DLC. This time around though, it’s a lot less about just journeying around these planets, and more about righting wrongs… and as always, the employers are the problem. Landing on a distant planet with the goal of making it inhabitable, you find yourself immediately fired from your position and left to figure it out for yourself...
