Most people have grown at least familiar with the name Demon Slayer over the last few years. This popular manga-turned-anime has progressed through TV series, to movies, and now into this battle arena game titled Demon Slayer -Kimetsu No Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles. With the buzz of season two’s release hyping up the name once again, let’s dive in to see if The Hinokami Chronicles holds up to the same excitement as its name provokes.
Eastward is a beautiful and spirited pixel adventure lovingly developed by indie studio Pixpil, set in a decaying post-apocalyptic world. Being also published by the pixel favourite Chucklefish, it’s a clear sign for you to strap in for a marvellous visual and musical ride. You will laugh, you may weep, and you will certainly find a lot of mysteries that need solving.
The world of Omno is vast and visually stunning. As a protagonist with no voice or name, you will explore a beautiful world around you, discovering the history of those who came before you, and the connections between living beings and the Light. You have nothing moving you forward on your pilgrimage other than the staff in your hands and the promise of Light guiding your way.
With the original game leaving a lot of questions unanswered and unexplored, it was unsure what path Gravity Rush 2 would take. Luckily whether you played the original on the PS Vita or remastered on PS4, the second installment does not disappoint.
