While Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles isn't the game to get me into the genre, I can't deny that it runs well and is mostly fun to play. Fans of the Demon Slayer anime - or fighting games in general - will be happy with this pickup.

First things first. The demons in Demon Slayer are vampires, not demons. Muzan Kibutsuji is anime Dracula, not anime Satan, and you can’t change my mind. Living for human blood, special blood powers, and transference of power through the blood of a sire? Vampire, and that’s that. Now, for the game with the longest name in history, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles. It’s an a...

Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles offers solid combat and is incredibly faithful to the source material but be prepared for poor online play and lackluster exploration.

Combat lacks depth and the story mode goes through periods of inaction, but Demon Slayer - Kimetsu no Yaiba - The Hinokami Chronicles is nonetheless a well-made and entertaining anime action title.

Given the immense popularity of Demon Slayer, particularly in Japan, it was only a matter of time until it got a video game adaptation. And who better to head the project than CyberConnect2, the talented Japanese studio that crafted the largely fantastic Naruto Ninja Storm series? The studio's flair for adapting anime is clear to see in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - The Hinokami Chronicles, but...

Unless you're the most dedicated Demon Slayer fan it's hard to recommend this. Anime games have come a long way and titles like this highlight why most gamers don't take these games seriously. Dragon Ball was infamous for this but now we have titles like Dragon Ball Xenoverse, Dragon Ball FighterZ, and even the CyberConnect2's Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot that went against the bare-minimum notoriety ani...
