Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition is a refined game that runs beautifully on modern machines, complete with plenty of new content.
It was only a little over one and a half years ago that I was reviewing Age of Empires: Definitive Edition and I spoke a lot about how not enough was truly improved to truly make the game worth it. I did chalk it up to a tentative yes but made a point that the remastering of an old Age of Empires game had already been done better. Particularly that was with Age of Empires II: HD.
