It’s because of games like the award-winning Agent A: A Puzzle in Disguise that I fully embrace ports from mobile devices. What was a wonderful little puzzle game for mobile devices is now a wonderful large-screen puzzle game for the Nintendo Switch.Read More
Overall, Agent A: A Puzzle In Disguise is a clever and straightforward adventure-puzzle game. It’s much more accessible and condensed than something like Myst or The Witness, but it’s easy to complete over the course of a few evenings. Unfortunately, the Switch port seems to have done away with the challenges and achievements of the mobile versions, so there isn’t really any reason to replay Agent A after completing it. Regardless, I can highly recommend assisting Agent A in her mission as it’s a fun distraction that doesn’t overstay its welcome. This review will self-destruct in fiv…
Agent A: A Puzzle in Disguise is a charming and lighthearted point and click adventure game that succeeds in making you feel like a secret agent, in part due to its bulk of varied and unique puzzles.
If you can put up with the odd groan-worthy joke, Agent A: A Puzzle in Disguise is a very welcome call back to puzzle games of old. It’s a great way to take your brain out for a spin without pushing it too hard. The story might not be the most developed, but it doesn’t matter; Agent A isn’t a game you play for its narrative – it’s entirely about the puzzles. And thankfully, for the most part, they deliver exactly as promised.
