Classified: France '44 is a solid turn-based tactical strategy in the vein of XCOM, and besides some frame drops, runs great on the Steam Deck!
My introduction to tactics games was an irresponsible impulse buy when I was working at GameStop in college and had no desire to study for midterms. Classified: France ’44 does so much right; historical authentic tactical combat, tense decision-making, and a minimal amount of stealth. Naff Stereotype-driven characters and technical issues aside, this is a confident and assured debut from Absolutely Games.
A fairly engaging and challenging turn-based tactical game, Classified: France ‘44 is, unfortunately, let down by the frequent bugs and a basic presentation.
