Creaks Reviews
Professional reviews from gaming critics
Over the past decade and a half, Czech indie studio Amanita Design have carved out a niche for themselves creating beautifully-illustrated adventure games like Machinarium, Samorost, and Botanicula. Nobody makes games quite like Amanita, and yet, you could argue there’s an ever-so-slight sameyness to most of their major projects, as they tend to rely on similar point ‘n’ click interfaces and puzzle-design philosophies. Creaks is a nice and inventive puzzle game from Amanita Design. A handful of frustrating puzzles do little to detract from the world's stand out visual design and inventive use of music as a guide through the adventure. If you enjoy puzzle games then Creaks is well worth a go.

Amanita Design does it again with a change in direction that still embodies everything that makes them a beloved indie developer
Creaks is a wonderfully atmospheric game that is ingenious in its execution, with a unique art style and excellent sound design. The sheer number of mind-teasing puzzles can be a little relentless at times, but the way that the game's systems evolve and interact with each other over time is incredibly impressive. If you have any love for brain teasers, you should probably consider picking it up.
In just a few hours, Creaks puts together a worthwhile experience that might not push boundaries but is definitely worth a look for those craving a lovable puzzler.
