Dragonkin: The Banished Reviews
Professional reviews from gaming critics
With its terrible voice acting and some minor gameplay issues, Dragonkin: The Banished isn't a faultless experience. As far as action RPGs in the vein of Diablo go though, it's one of the best there is, with a fantastic skill system and enjoyable city development.
Gamers who have already invested hundreds of hours in another hack-and-slash RPG might not be tempted to make a lateral move to Dragonkin: The Banished. Then again, its depth of systems and generally excellent combat might be a satisfying alternative.
I’ve never really admitted to being a fan of Diablo-like games. In fact, I’ve often found them overly simplistic and incredibly time-consuming. And yet, every time I pick up another title in the genre, something strange happens – I get completely hooked and can’t pull myself away. Dragonkin: The Banished from Eko Software is no exception. That said, I can’t quite call it perfect.
Dragonkin: The Banished is an action RPG in the vein of Diablo, but this time there’s lots of dragons. Seriously, the dragons here are so bad and evil that their blood has corrupted the world, giving you the singular purpose to hunt them all down and defeat the Dragon Lords. This naturally means there are big monsters to fight, there’s loot to collect, and experience to gain.
