Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate is a wonderful roguelike that is one of the PS5's most replayable games.

Forza Horizon 5 was well worth the wait for PS5 owners, who are getting the incredible racing game in its most content-rich state yet.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is a true achievement. It features the most immersive open world I've ever played in.

Dynasty Warriors: Origins became one of my most anticipated games after getting to go hands-on with it late last year. The good news is that Koei Tecmo has completely delivered on its promising revamp of the series. The bad news? Well, there isn’t any. The game is great and some of the most fun I’ve had in an action game in years.

Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 earns its Turbocharged subtitle as it builds on the original's base to deliver a more polished and enjoyable sequel.

Milestone S.r.l. is one of gaming’s most consistent developers, delivering multiple worthwhile racing games each year. Its latest offering is Ride 5, which serves as a sizable, current-gen revamp and overall upgrade for the series. No longer held back by a foundation that was created in 2015, Ride 5 delivers one of the best motorcycle racing games yet.

Summerfall Studios’ Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical is one of the most unique games of the year. Creating a musical is already a colossal undertaking. But turning one into interactive art altered by player choice? Even more daunting. While it doesn’t come together as smoothly as one may hope, there’s enough promise and payoff to make this a successful experiment.

Double Dragon Gaiden: Rise of the Dragons is the latest attempt to revitalize the beat ’em up genre, which has struggled to stay relevant since its coin-op heyday. It arrives while the genre has some actual momentum, with Streets of Rage 4 and TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge showing that a highly polished brawler can still hit if it’s designed around replayability. Double Dragon’s latest offering adds in roguelite elements to give it some additional structure and camouflage its short length, but it’s not as revolutionary as it should be.

Exoprimal isn’t the dinosaur-based video game anyone wanted Capcom to make. That said, it’s more than solid if you can get past that initial disappointment of it simply not being Dino Crisis.

Crash Team Rumble, a team-based four-on-four multiplayer game, isn’t likely what anyone was asking for after the bandicoot’s successful return in 2020’s Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time. But that’s not necessarily a bad thing. While it’s difficult to see there being a huge market for this game that’s more like a MOBA than a new Crash Bash, it is still rather enjoyable, especially when played with friends.
