GrimGrimoire OnceMore Reviews

Professional reviews from gaming critics

The gameplay shows some great improvements and additions that were added to the remaster, but I feel like there are still some things missing from GrimGrimoire, like an option to turn the auto-play on or off.  Besides that strange oversight, the game is still another great job by Vanillaware to bring back another classic game into the light of the public’s eye. Watching more people appreciate not only the studio’s art style, but the beautiful story this game tells is a real pleasure as a fan of the original. I know that we’ll get a new IP from Vanillaware sometime in the near future and thanks...

GrimGrimoire OnceMore is a display of passion from the art to the character designs. It has a fun loop and is a very unique experience. The only negative comes with the shortness of the main game and the maps mainly go up and down.

There’s probably never going to be catching the PlayStation 2 in terms of console sales and impact. Purchased by families who cared nothing for video games and everything for a DVD player, the PS2 played host to more titles than I care to list here. Many are well known and beloved, some are obscure trash, and there’s a bit of everything in-between.

GrimGrimoire OnceMore marks the return of a more obscure Vanillaware offering so crack open a spell book and let's slay some demons.
