An intriguing concept for a multiplayer shooter that ultimately fails to excite, where you’re more creatively constrained than you might initially think.

But even with these lingering technical issues (which will likely be ironed out sooner rather than later), Lemnis Gate is still a must-play game for both FPS and strategy game fans. It successfully takes intense 25-second FPS battles and adds layers of hero-shooter, turn-based strategy, and a time loop to create something that's truly unique. It has the "one more round" quality of games like Civilization, and the adrenaline-fueled action of games like Call of Duty.

Lemnis Gate feels like a bold breath of fresh air. The game is a dramatic new take on the genre that has been fully embraced to its bones. Lemnis Gate is a must for any fans of shooters and strategy titles, especially for players who have a friend to bring along for some 2v2 matches. The future looks pretty bright for Lemnis Gate, and it has more than earned it.

Even if you are not a fan of competitive multiplayer, Lemnis Gate is worth checking out due to its highly original mechanics, tactical sandbox abilities, and fluid shooter action.

Lemnis Gate is intoxicating. Lemnis Gate is excruciating. Lemnis Gate is both these things. It's also a unique, compelling, strategic shooter, but one that might be too far ahead of its time.

Lemnis Gate is a turn-based first-person shooter strategy game developed by Ratloop Games Canada and published by Frontier Foundry. It comes with four game modes, twelve maps, and 1v1 and 2v2 modes.
