LocoRoco 2 Remastered Reviews
Professional reviews from gaming critics
We considered ourselves lucky to have received the original LocoRoco on the PlayStation 4 earlier this year, so to also have its sequel is a wonderful thing. Japan Studio’s roll-em-up platformers are relentlessly joyful, and serve as perfect palate cleansers to play between holiday season behemoths. The second title takes the core of the first and does just about enough with it to keep your interest.
Save the planet with a song as a giant, bouncy, bright-coloured blob.

The LocoRoco series are some rather bizarre games, featuring charmingly bright graphics, cheerful little puzzles and one of the catchiest gaming soundtracks
LocoRoco 2 Remastered certainly gets the job done and while it is shorter than the original, there’s a ton of side content present. Its charming, minimalist detail looks great on the whole and runs as smoothly as one could hope for. The omission to that is with the low resolution cutscenes, which is somewhat ironic considering the emphasis on 4K in the marketing, but LocoRoco 2 Remastered is more of the same, which can only be a good thing.
