Overall, Lost in Play keeps all of its promises, and it keeps them well. The gameplay can be tricky, but it is fun and exactly what you would expect from a point-and-click adventure time. The art style is incredible; the 2D graphics make it look straight out of a children’s program. The sound design is clever and helps to propagate the illusion of childhood. Every single element that makes up this game serves to create an atmosphere that feels unapologetically magical. Lost in Play is a game that both children and adults can enjoy, and we need more games like that.

When I played the demo of Lost In Play during Steam Next Fest, I just knew then and there that this game is going to establish a special place in my heart when it releases. And we have prepared this Lost In Play review to inform you whether the game is worth it or not.

Some of its puzzles could be more kid-friendly, but Lost In Play is a charming point and click puzzler that really taps into the joy of childhood make-believe.

Lost in Play is an outstanding puzzle adventure game that can be played by everyone. The art design is fantastic, the puzzles are varied while offering a bit of a challenge, and it is just a wholesome story of two kids using their imaginations to create a world to have an adventure in. I would recommend this to anyone who wants something light hearted, whether you're playing alone or with family.

Speaking as a curmudgeonly adult, who doesn’t wish they were a little kid again? No bills, little to no responsibilities, and hardly a care in the world. For most children, the biggest stressors are hastily slapping together homework before it’s due, and returning home from playing outside before the streetlights turn on (although, I might be dating myself there). As a boring grownup, who wouldn’t want to go back to watching Saturday morning cartoons and daydreaming with impunity? Well,...

There’s nothing quite as powerful as a child’s imagination. Lost in Play is an adventure game that takes the creativity and energy of playtime and peppers it with all the charm of a polished animated cartoon. With visuals inspired by shows like Gravity Falls, a colourful cast of wacky characters, and puzzling point-and-click gameplay, this is a title that aims to captivate young gamers and bring wholesome, nostalgic joy to their parents.
