Ms. Splosion Man Reviews
Professional reviews from gaming critics
Ms. Splosion Man is another excellent, thrilling platformer from the insane team at Twisted Pixel. This one is a little harder than the first, so be warned that you are in for a serious challenge. But there is more creativity packed into one Ms Splosion Man level than many other games can muster in their entirety, so I definitely recommend everyone check it out.
Ms. Splosion Man is a 2.5D action/platformer based around the simple concept of 'splosions and the ridiculousness that ensues, featuring up to co-op multiplayer, local and online, a story mode chock full of hilarious cinemas seamlessly integrated into gameplay, and epic boss battles.
Ms. Splosion Man is challenging without ever feeling impossible, and for some the degree of difficulty in itself will be a reason to buy this game as it offers what few other games do in this day and age – a demanding and extensive campaign.
Trading heavily on its style and forced joking as if trying to paper-over its insecurity, Ms. Splosion Man is a gratifying 2D platformer with reasonably challenging gameplay. If a crazed sense of humor is appealing or at least tolerable, then you’re going to have a blast.
Yay, 'splode again! I remember when the first 'Splosion Man came out a few years back. It looked kind of fun [...]
Our conclusive advice is to avoid the single player in anything but very small doses when your chums aren’t around and stick to the co-op almost exclusively. It’s the reason the score you see attached to this review isn’t as low as you might have expected it to be from the rest of the review. Of course, chop at least a couple of points off the total if you don’t have any friends to play with and can’t stand the thought of trying to solve puzzles with random people.
