One of my favourite 3D platformers has a brand new remake and PAC-MAN WORLD 2 Re-PAC makes for one superb package for any Pac-fan.

When I reviewed the first Pac-Man World remake, 2022’s Pac-Man World: Re-Pac, I found it to be a competent remake of a cult classic that, whilst loved by a lot of people due to nostalgia, isn’t and has never particularly been a groundbreaking title in the platforming genre. Pac-Man World 2 Re-Pac is a solid remake and a completely serviceable platformer that I thoroughly enjoyed playing through. It’s a bit on the basic side and has some goofy voice acting, but anyone who enjoys 3D platformers will have a fun weekend with this one.

Pac-Man World 2 Re-Pac is short and sweet, offering a chance for those that missed a fun 3D platformer to play it, and enjoy the charm and well designed levels.

For all its missteps, Pac-Man World 2 Re-Pac is an agreeable 3D platformer from yesteryear. While hardly in the same league as Mario, Crash, or Astro Bot, it's served at just the right price for those pursuing a nostalgic diet. Approach accordingly, and you may just walk away from this classic meal with a full stomach.

I don’t want to let my moan about the final boss overshadow the review. There’s still a fun game here, and a lovely remaster of a well-loved platformer. The things it does well — the personality of Pac-Man, friends, and enemies in the cut scenes, the variety in the gameplay — shine brightly. PAC-MAN WORLD 2 Re-PAC is a solid 3D action adventure platformer that stays true to the original game while introducing a slew of new features and upgrades, including revamped visuals, Quality and Performance modes, voice-acting, and brand-new levels and rewards. However, PAC-MAN WORLD 2 Re-PAC can fall flat at times due to some lackluster level design that limits PAC-MAN's potential in the genre. Despite what the game lacks, it's still a fun game for players of all ages.
