Professional reviews from gaming critics

While it may not have the most captivating of storylines, the game itself is fun and addictive. It’s a great way to kill some time - no pun intended - and may leave you muttering things under your breath that make others question your sanity. Plus, you can count on new content being added in the future, which will increase the game’s replayability and won’t cost you a cent.

As I mentioned earlier, the plot is about as barebones as you can get. Though that is a much lesser issue than the fact that some levels run into problems due to the lack of variety in how you solve them. Once you have played one Party Hard level you pretty much get the same thing in more difficult packages, which can lead to making one feel they have to cheese the game to get past a particularly tricky level. You’ll find yourself exploiting gameplay loopholes and the occasional glitch just to get those last few partygoers on occasion, which unfortunately grind the pace and fun to a halt. This...

Party Hard may suffer from repetition at times, but the more I play it, the more it grows on me.

Sleep eludes you but the party goers can't. As a man with a strong dislike for the party scene, bring down each one until there's nobody left. With a dozen locations and multiple ways to end the lives of your victims, how successful are you at both killing and escaping prison?

Party Hard 2 recently released on PC and I found it to be a worthwhile sequel that offers enough of a fresh take to keep it exciting. Not long after that, the original game has just arrive for the Nintendo Switch, allowing you to continue wreaking havoc on-the-go.

It’s 3AM and you’re still awake because of that obnoxiously loud party happening next door. With only a few hours until you need to be up for work, you wish you could just go over there and kill everyone to get some peace and quiet. While no normal person would do so, Party Hard’s premise is exactly that. You’re going to stop the neighbour’s party by killing everyone.

Ever dreamt about killing dozens of people? Well, you might want to see a psychiatrist, but you'll also want to read our Party Hard Review!

Apr 27, 2016 Read Review

Party Hard is a wacky and ridiculous experience that doesn’t take itself too seriously, but like the soundtrack, the game is entertaining initially, but the longer you play the more you realise it’s looping on itself with only slight variations thrown into the pot every now and then. Anyone expecting more than a lively tune and some straightforward stealth puzzling will likely come away disappointed from what could have been a promising concept.

Party Hard has a solid gameplay idea, but it can descend into tedium rather quickly.

While it can be funny at times, Party Hard has issues delivering in other areas. The shallow gameplay has already been touched upon, but the game also falters because of its bugs. Some levels will allow players to make phone calls with invisible telephones, and in others, players can expect to bump into invisible objects that impede progress. It's a shame that these issues weren't ironed out before Party Hard's Xbox One and PS4 debut, especially considering the PC version has been available since last August.

Noisy neighbours can be a huge pain in the butt so you may ask yourself, what's the best way to deal with them? Write a letter? Confront them directly? How about murder them and all their friends? Yeah, that'll work.
