"I've been waiting for this!"

While Persona 3: Dancing in Moonlight is weak on content, the game does a great job at celebrating the absolutely stellar soundtrack of the third entry in the iconic JRPG series. It's an easy recommendation for hardcore Persona fans and a great reason to dust off that PS Vita one more time. I personally had a blast with the game and am excited to get my hands on Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight.

Persona 3: Dancing in Moonlight might not have the largest tracklist in the genre, but the remixed tunes and challenging gameplay ring true. Those that don’t mind a package that is a little on the light side will enjoy mastering its unique playlist.

Persona 3: Dancing in Moonlight delivers upon expectations without quite surpassing them. It’s a very welcome return for a great cast of characters with a fun, colourful and challenging rhythm-action game wrapped around their weird and entertaining universe. Though the price of entry is undeniably high, there is definitely a party happening in the Velvet Room, and few Persona fans in attendance will find themselves leaving disappointed.

Returning to lengthy RPGs can be daunting, but just listening to the soundtrack can often bring back our favorite memories. Persona 3: Dancing in Moonlight offers a more efficient way to relive those memories by dancing to the beat of remixes of composer Shoji Meguro’s great score. The nostalgia trip mostly works, even as it’s bogged down by a clunky interface and short setlist.

The lack of any true narrative makes Persona 3: Dancing in Moonlight feel like half of a complete game. The half it presents is done quite nicely.
