Planet of Lana II: Children of the Leaf Reviews
Professional reviews from gaming critics
Planet of Lana 2 is a gorgeous sequel that does all the right things with its puzzles and story, building a rich history with complex layers and characters.
Lana finds herself in yet more trouble in Planet of Lana 2: Children of the Leaf, a game which proves to be a bigger, bolder sequel with more gameplay variety. Needless to say, it's a must-play for fans of the first game.
Planet of Lana II: Children of the Leaf is a supremely assured offering that is better than its predecessor in virtually every way, layering just enough mechanical depth on top while never losing sight of the beating heart underneath.
Planet of Lana II: Children of the Leaf is a remarkable game that builds on and develops the foundations of the original. Similar to its predecessor, it tells an emotive, personal story that instantly immerses you. The scope expands as you journey farther afield. Gameplay improvements elevate the adventure, introducing greater puzzle variety and tense cinematic sequences that complement one another perfectly. Planet of Lana 2: Children of the Leaf isn't a massive leap in terms of storytelling, and the core puzzle-platforming gameplay remains. However, it's still a well-rounded experience with appreciable characters.
Planet of Lana II: Children of the Leaf is an auditory and visual masterpiece. The clash of machine and nature may be an old trope, but it results in a beautiful aesthetic and soundscape. As for the gameplay, the puzzle-solving is passable, but the lack of replayability may turn some away.
Planet of Lana 2 is yet another touching tale in an unforgettable world.
