In Quake 4 the Strogg are quickly regrouping, however the Strogg’s planetary defenses still destroyed, Earth's forces can deliver a full and final assault. This time, you're not alone. You are Matthew Kane, an elite member of Rhino Squad, and part of Earth’s next invasion wave. An army of soldiers are fighting with you and an arsenal of weapons and vehicles are at your disposal in this heroic and epic battle between worlds.
Quake 4 might not be the masterpiece people were hoping for, but it's still one of the better games you'll play this year.
The fourth Quake is already a fact. It is highly doubtful that it will shock PC users as much as the previous installments of the series. Still, it's worth playing, if only to see that not all innovations are for a good cause.
To conclude; Quake 4 is worthy of its name. Most of this is because of the fun single player campaign, but the multiplayer should not (and will not) go unnoticed. Its biggest downside is the high system requirements, but nothing’s stopping you from playing on 640x480, is it? If you’re an FPS fan then you can’t afford to skip this fine product. Even if you’re like me, and play an FPS every decade or so, take a whack at it, you’ll probably like it.
Quake 4 is a First Person Shooter than it highly criticized by game reviews for it's frame rate flaws, and other various aspects that they pay more attention to than the game itself. Quake 4 plants the player as Matthew Kane, a new member to the Rhino squad, and the savior of Earth from Quake II. Quake 4 starts with Rhino squad crash landing on the Stogg planet known as Stroggos, where Kane and the other surviving Marines try to make their way to the Hannabil's landing zone before they're killed.
