The Walking Dead: The Final Season Reviews
Professional reviews from gaming critics
The Walking Dead: The Final Season is a moving exploration of grief, loss, choice, and letting go that gives Clementine's story the ending it deserves. Telltale may be gone, but at least they went out with a bang.
Suffer the Children is a fantastic second episode for The Walking Dead: The Final Season. Unfortunately, the reality is that it's also probably the final episode, and it just doesn't cut it as a finale.
Few games manage to make their protagonist quite as iconic and lovable as Telltale’s The Walking Dead’s Clementine. The Walking Dead: The Final Season is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch for $19.99 for all four episodes. The game is rated M. It’s a moving but bittersweet ending, especially considering this was the last game Telltale worked on before shutting down.
Clementine’s journey comes to a bumpy end.
Goodbyes are never easy, especially when you’ve spent the last seven years invested in a character. The feeling is compounded when you’re experiencing the last product by the studio that created her; The Walking Dead put Telltale Games on the map with its focus on emotional storytelling and player choice, but it all came all crashing down in 2018 when the developer shuttered before completing the fourth season. Skybound Games came to the rescue, hiring on previous Telltale employees to finish the story as it was originally planned. This finale is a fitting tribute to Clementine and her journey...
