The Yakuza Remastered Collection Reviews
Professional reviews from gaming critics
All three Yakuza games also feature updated translations, making them fall more in line with the modern Yakuza titles. By and large, the translations aren't complete overhauls, but small touchups that make the games fall in line with the rest of the series, like correcting certain character's names. Interestingly, however, the remastered version of Yakuza 3 includes a ton of content that was originally cut in the Western PS3 version. Over 20 substories, minigames, and a hostess club system have been restored, meaning even longtime fans will find content they likely haven't seen - or, at least,...
The Yakuza series is one of the best at what it does, being an Action-RPG with explorable locations. The games in this collection are dated, but even so, they perform well today and are still enjoyable to play. For players who have played before on console, pick this up if you want updated graphics and the ability to play through the series again without having to worry about backwards compatibility on consoles. For fans on PC who haven’t played the full saga, I highly recommend the Collect...

This trio of games still creak a bit even with this fresh coat of paint and support for both higher resolutions and 60 fps gameplay, but they're still easily worth a play, particularly at this bargain bundle price.
That's right; every main Yakuza game is now available for PS4 so let's fill in a massive gap and check out this Remastered Collection.
Visually, Yakuza 5 Remastered looks incredible. Characters look impressively lifelike for a game from 2012, and the huge environments are a joy to explore. Combat is better than any of the titles released before Yakuza 5, which could only be improved with the introduction of the Dragon Engine in Yakuza 6. Each character’s combat style feels fitting for their personalities (as does Haruka’s more pacifistic gameplay), with Taiga standing out as a major improvement over his fairly slower style in Yakuza 4. Even today, Yakuza 5 is more than worth playing, especially in its shiny new remastered for...
