Wanted: Weapons of Fate Reviews
Professional reviews from gaming critics
I have nothing against short games, so long as there is proper incentive to play multiple times. Wanted lacks any such incentives. Something as simple as an arcade scoring system or in-depth stats might have been enough to make a second playthrough interesting. Even though the first time through is enjoyable (yes, it's fun at times!), there's a real lack of content. This is best as a rental, since you can beat Wanted in one sitting.
Wanted is a perfectly passable, often enjoyable game, but not something that will be remembered once you've beaten it over the course of a few evenings.
With the death of his mother burning in his veins, you'll embark on a one-man crusade for revenge, with the narrative flitting between the past and present.
Shamefully brief and offering almost no replay value beyond gathering collectible scraps of paper to unlock perfunctory character skins and concept art, Wanted represents terrible value for money. Once you are done with that (of which you may only recall Angelina Jolie’s posterior with any fondness) then you may have more of a clue as to what is going on. Suffice it to say that movie ti...
The game also seems to not have taken full use of its extended development time as both characters and the environments look very rough around the edges and there are all sorts of crazy animation glitches such as weapons floating in mid air and dead bodies seemingly having a fit. When shot with a curved bullet, enemies will often stumble right through the cover they were just using which is far too obvious a problem for the developers to have just missed. The loading times are both long and frequent enough to be annoying and this problem was unfortunately not relieved by installing the game to...
