Professional reviews from gaming critics
Kitaria Fables is a hard-to-put-down RPG in which you proect Paw Village and the rest of your little world against the (calamity?) and the monsters it affected. With lots to do, lots to look at, and lots of cute animals to talk to, this game is definitely worth playing.Read More
Cats are nature’s perfect – excuse me – purrfect killing machines, but were made tiny and non-threatening as some kind of sick joke. It’s a sentiment I firmly believe because it does well to explain their usually annoyed demeanour. It seems I’m not the only one either, as Twin Hearts seemingly shares the opinion. Only, they strive to rectify it by handing felines not only weapons but allowing them to cast various types of spells: it’s your funeral, guys. Since Rune Factory 5 has b...
The docile monsters of Kitaria have started attacking citizens and it's up to you to discover what's happening while living off the land.
Kitaria Fables is a wonderfully adorable action-RPG which will also have you farming and crafting away to your heart’s content. It’s a game that’s definitely taken inspiration from the likes of Stardew Valley and Rune Factory but has simplified things making it a great game for younger audiences.
When Kitaria Fables works it works really well. But when its issues begin to arise, the experience of playing through it can get awfully frustrating. These unnecessary design oversights detract from the game's clear strengths. Regardless, it isn't bad, and given its relatively cheap retail price, it is probably worth giving a shot.
Attempt to rush through Kitaria Fables and you’ll find it to be a frustrating and unduly challenging experience. Take it slowly, though, spending time engaging with the game’s crafting and farming mechanics, and you’ll have a much better time. With an enjoyable narrative and a pleasantly animated world to explore, being a magical cat armed with a sword is pretty good fun.
Have you ever dreamed of being a cat person that roamed the land, defending it from a mysterious dark force with blade and magic at your command? Maybe after you dove into the deepest dungeons with an obnoxious sidekick, you come home in that dream and tend to your crops?…
Kitaria Fables is a decent farming life sim sadly hampered by its poor RPG elements
Kitaria Fables is bound to build memories when played with a partner!
Kitaria Fables is a warm, genuine delight. It’s not trying to tell you something deep about the world. Nor is it looking to spark debates over hard modes or subversion. It’s not aiming to challenge, belittle, insult or offend. The game’s just there to give people of all ages a chance to go on fun little quests together, as adorable little animals, with a garden of veggie delights to look forward to coming back to. It might just be the sweetest and most innocent Rune Factory or Harvest Moon I’ve come across, and that’s really saying something, since this entire “genre”, such as it…
