There are times where we must contemplate death and whatever we think, believe or hope comes afterwards. The entirety of human consciousness has hinged on how we have taken that existential concept and used it to drive our actions. As a result, people have come to act, react and progress with either the presence or absence of “what comes next” in their periphery. In Kulebra and the Souls of Limbo, the player is now presented with a fantastically heavy and cosmic concept that our decisions...

Kulebra and the Souls of Limbo is an artistic marvel to look at that many will enjoy for its creative puzzles and the gorgeous world that you are pulled into. The story does a very good job at tackling the idea of trauma and how it can weigh you down, and how it affects those around you. You will feel sad, happy and angry for the souls you run into on your journey, and I truly believe they did it in a way that tells their story in a beautifully poetic fashion. I more than enjoyed my time in the hallowed streets of Limbo, and would more than recommend this game to anyone who enjoys 2D adventure...

Kulebra And The Souls Of Limbo wears its heart on its sleeve for the entirety of its 10-hour runtime. It's mechanically highlighted by some creative no-combat boss battles and cute puzzles, though the moment-to-moment gameplay isn't always the most exciting thing in the world....

Kulebra and the Souls of Limbo is a gently paced, vividly colorful paper adventure filled with memorable afterlife inhabitants and a simple but fun time-looping premise. It’s a shame, then, that the character arcs often fail to reach the same satisfying conclusion for the player as they do for these wayward souls themselves.

Playing as Kulebra, a skeletal snake who recently arrived in Limbo, your job is to help the eponymous souls find closure. Kulebra explores melancholic towns and bustling cities, chatting with NPCs and trying to solve their problems, but a more profound mystery is at play. Dark Souls proliferate throughout Limbo, contributing significantly to the plane's abject sadness, trapping many deceased. Kulebra and the Souls of Limbo is dripping with style, and there's plenty of interest in chatting with characters and solving simple puzzles. Still, some unimaginative mechanics hold it back from being tr...
