Clair Obscure: Expedition 33 brings with it a beautiful, if haunting world, tackling heavy subjects tastefully and introducing new, somewhat risky mechanics to the turn-based combat formula. Will these changes and daunting story combination manage to make a good game? That's what this review tries to find out.
The Thaumaturge is a new story driven role-playing game by Fool's Theory and 11 Bit Studios where you embody the role of a Thaumaturge, someone with the ability to coax out secrets untold and control ethereal beasts called salutors. Despite an excellent premise and an intriguing narrative, several issues with gameplay may leave people divided on The Thaumaturge.
On a technical level, Fate/Samurai Remnant was practically flawless and anybody worried that it was going to be anything otherwise should have their fears allayed, at least for the PS5 version of the game.
Based on the fairy tale of Pinocchio, Lies of P is an interesting new Souls-like hoping to follow in the footsteps of Bloodborne and Sekiro. Despite the genre's oversaturation in recent years, Lies of P manages to stand out and shine, bringing with it a fascinating narrative, a darkly compelling world and an aggressive combat system. Here is our review for Lies of P on PS5.
Against all odds, Baldur's Gate 3 has somehow managed to surpass the likes of The Legend of Zelda and Final Fantasy as a game of the year frontrunner. It isn't just down to luck, either, because BG3 is one of the most incredible games I've ever played with an absurd amount of depth in every single part of it. Here's our review for Baldur's Gate 3 on PC.
Ravenlok is an outstandingly beautiful game, but, unfortunately, that beauty is only surface-level. While it held so much promise and potential, the final product is a gorgeous piece of art but an incredibly flawed and restrained action game, lacking the charm or depth that would elevate it to something special. Here's our review of Ravenlok on PC.
This is the review for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, the 19th mainline CoD game and the last one before a break in the yearly release schedule. The review will cover the campaign (both the story and the missions), the multiplayer and the new Spec Ops mode. Can this modern iteration of the series' classic live up to expectations?
Thymesia is the newest Souls-like to enter the arena, boasting flashy combat, a grim world and the ability to wield disease to your benefit. How far does it manage to go with these concepts and is Thymesia a fitting tribute to the hallowed halls of Souls-likes? Yes.. and no. Here's the review for Thymesia: a game plagued by it's own potential.
