After appearing in the last couple of Forza Horizon games in the form of DLC, Forza Horizon 5: Hot Wheels returns to deliver a rather chunky expansion for the latest game in the franchise. Set above the clouds of Mexico, where the main Forza Horizon 5 experience is found, the player...
Of course, it wouldn't be a Capcom collection without at least one iteration of the Street Fighter series, and thankfully there are some decent options here. The primary one that will keep fighting fans engaged is Hyper Street Fighter II: The Anniversary Edition, which is an expanded version of Super Street Fighter...
Road 96
It's these non-playable characters that really help cement Road 96's world. There is a cast of figures who will reappear throughout the game on different journeys, and help the player explore the reality of the totalitarian state they live in, those who help to prop it up, and those who...
As with the other expansion packs, Dawn of Ragnarok spends a little too much time trying to replicate side content within the DLC's lens. Sinmara’s Chosen are the latest equivalent of the roving champions system that has been a part of the Assassin's Creed series for a few games now, providing tough...
Unforeseen Incidents
Unforeseen Incidents leans heavily into the adventure genre, with the player exploring static locales and grabbing every item they can to try and combine them when the puzzle pieces start to fall together. Even the characters match the feel of traditional adventure games, with witty rapports and a light-hearted main...
Beyond Blue
Beyond Blue does also provide players with a wider story to discover, both from Mirai’s professional sense as an oceanographer and from her inter-personal relationships. The maps generally relate to the tracking of a pod of sperm whales, while also splicing in other themes of conservation such as turtle hatchlings and...
Although Ratchet and Rivet's gameplay feels the same, there are also various mini game modes to freshen things up. The game's Glitch sections are a basic third-person shoot 'em-up where the player must shoot out virus hubs within networks, while the player takes control of Clank to fix dimensional shifts with little puzzles that...
Video games have historically done a tremendous job of making players care about inanimate objects. Whether it's the ever-beloved companion cube of the Portal games, or the simple shapes of indie platform darling Thomas Was Alone, game developers have likely made players care more about objects than they would care to admit...
WRC 9
WRC 9 is the latest in the long run of official World Rally Championship games. Developed by Kylotonn, the French studio that has been behind the series since 2015's WRC 5, it takes the player through all the action of the World Rally Championship, complete with all the teams across...
The PS5 version of Assassin's Creed Valhalla is also a little less likely to have the technical problems that plague the previous generation edition of the same game. There appear to be less crashes and less graphical glitches with the new generation, although more complex errors like bizarre AI and physics...
In particular this is a problem with Sticky, who will stop flow of movement at times (albeit sometimes intentionally for story purposes). The Balloon sections face a different problem, with a lack of definition between different colors of cloud leading to difficulties deciphering when the player is able to uplift...
