The PS Vita receives a wonderful, but slightly flawed, exclusive Assassin's Creed title in Liberation.

Assassin's Creed III: Liberation is a simplified version of the Assassin's Creed franchise. The moves and kills you'd expect are here, but the story is boiled down to be easy to jump in and out of. That takes away some of the excitement in playing through it.
You can’t fault Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation’s ambition. Ubisoft Sofia’s sprawling PlayStation Vita exclusive not only faithfully repurposes the free-roaming elimination escapades of its console counterparts, but through the corrupt recollections of mysterious protagonist Aveline de Grandpré it also attempts to imbue the franchise with something new. Frustratingly, a lot of the spin-off’s most fascinating ideas are unfathomable at the best of times.
After the failure of Bloodlines on PSP, Ubisoft is trying to once again bring its flagship brand to Sony's pocket console. And although this time the end result is much more interesting, it is still far from perfect.
